With Ray White Queensland chief auctioneer Gavin Croft calling the auctions, the evening was a huge success, recording a 62.8 per cent clearance rate on the night.

A property at 56 Moresby Street, Trinity Beach, sold under the hammer for $699,000 with 11 registered bidders and six active bidders. A fantastic result for the vendors and Ray White Cairns Beach marketing agent Rebecca Butson.

Ray White Cairns agent Natasha Whalley-Thompson sold 39 Pilosa Street, Redlynch, under the hammer for $700,000, as well as 11 Nolan Street, Whitfield, which sold under the hammer for $495,000 with 10 registered bidders and five active bidders.

Another incredible result went to Ray White Cairns agent Ray Murphy who sold 51 Mazlin Street, Edge Hill, under the hammer for $600,000 with five registered bidders and five active bidders.

Ray White Cairns, Cairns Beaches, Smithfield & Palm Cove director David Murphy said he always looked forward to the Gala Auction Event.

“These events offer sellers unmatched exposure, thanks to our extensive multi-channel marketing push, alongside full live streaming capabilities for interstate and international buyers,” Mr Murphy said.

“The results speak for themselves, with more than 20 properties sold it’s an unbelievable showcase of the strength and confidence in the Cairns market.

“With some properties fetching more than $100,000 over reserve and an anticipated 80–90 per cent clearance rate within the next week or two, it once again proves that auction is the best method of sale.”
