Achieving a 50 per cent clearance rate and $45.674 million in sales on the day, the sales won’t stop with the end of the event as many more transactions are expected to take place post-auction.

“We are incredibly proud of what the team has achieved today - not only was it our biggest event in the amount of properties we offered, but in the size of our team and in the sales result achieved on the day,” James Goldsworthy, auctioneer and director of Ray White Mooloolaba and Kawana Waters said (pictured below).

The highest sale of the day was the luxurious ‘Palm Springs’ style home with breathtaking northwest views at 7 Sorensen Avenue in Buderim, selling for $2.425 million by listing agent Greg Ward from Ray White Buderim.

One of the most anticipated properties in the lead up to the event was the block of eight flats on 1148sqm of prime real estate in Nambour. Sold prior to the auction day after multiple offers, this lucrative property sold for $2.7 million by listing agent Ryan Aldred from Ray White Nambour.

2024’s In-Room Auction Event achieved outstanding results:

  • $45.674 million in sales on the day

  • 86 properties offered to the market

  • Over 2,500 physical buyer inspections conducted within 30 days prior

  • Over 125 registered bidders

  • 50 per cent on the day clearance rate

  • Top property sale of $2.425million

  • Over 350 coffees consumed

“It was a remarkable outcome given we bought 86 properties on the market that attracted some 2500 buyers viewing the properties prior to auction," Dan Sowden, auctioneer and director of Ray White Maroochydore and Buderim said (pictured at top).

"With over 150 bidders in the room and hundreds more turning in online, this shows us there is absolute confidence in the Sunshine Coast property market."

Since the event’s inception in 2015, the network has now auctioned 524 properties, totalling in over $303 million in sales. Now in its ninth year, the event continues to grow. Around 500 interested attendees gathered from 9am at Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast, eagerly awaiting the action to begin.

Presented by over 75 staff from the Ray White Coastal Living Network’s five offices (Maroochydore, Buderim, Mooloolaba, Kawana Waters and Nambour), each Ray White team member was buzzing with energy, working to register buyers, supporting sellers, briefing phone bidders and ushering spectators.

Major partners on the day included Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast, realestate.com and Moes Media.
