The largest real estate group in Australasia is closing 2024 on a high note, celebrating an impressive year of growth and achievement. As the group marks 122 years of innovation and leadership in real estate, Ray White has cemented its dominance with a record combined market share of 14.57 per cent across Australia and New Zealand.
The group's expansion in 2024 highlights the continued trust and ambition within the Ray White network. From January to November, the brand welcomed 57 new offices across Australia and New Zealand. This robust growth underscores Ray White’s enduring appeal as a trusted real estate partner.
At the annual Chairman’s Cup awards incorporated into the Ray White Crows Nest conference, CEO of Ray White Queensland Jason Andrew was awarded the Challenge Cup award for his recruitment efforts.
“I am so happy for our Queensland team after all of their work last financial year to lead the way on recruitment for our company. We stand for being ‘best in market’, and our relentless pursuit of it. The Challenge Cup award for 2024 represents the outcome of this,” Mr Andrew said.
In New South Wales alone, there have been over 20 new offices open their doors for the calendar year so far, with a handful more opening before the year is out. Ray White New South Wales CEO Tim Snell attributed the growth to the network's culture of innovation, the entrepreneurial spirit of its business owners, and the passion of his team.
“This year, our team has reached a significant milestone with the opening of 20 new offices across New South Wales so far. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion of our team, who continue to embody the White family values in everything they do,” Mr Snell said.
“Recruitment remains the driving force at the core of our business, fueling our continued success and growth.”
Beyond the residential sector, Ray White Rural welcomed four new offices, and the RWC network (Ray White Commercial) added three new offices, further strengthening the group's diverse offering.
In New South Wales, leading operators in Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Charles Caravousanos and David Walker brought their unique brand of success to the Northern Beaches this year. “This expansion is the missing link in our group of offices and we are eager to introduce our winning formula to this vibrant community,” Mr Caravousanos said.
Ray White Northern Beaches went on to recruit two of the area's most prolific agents, Eddy Piddington and Julian Rowe. Ray White Elanora Heights was then added as the ninth office to the Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches’ growing real estate group.
In South Australia, Brandon Pilgrim commenced the next chapter of his real estate career and opened Ray White Burnside (pictured below). Since kicking off his career 10 years ago, Mr Pilgrim has successfully cemented himself as one of the city’s leading luxury property specialists.
“We are looking forward to more exceptional real estate agents who want to serve Adelaide’s eastern suburbs joining us and building their own profile within the country’s most trusted real estate group,” Mr Pilgrim said.
In Queensland, Andrew McCulloch became the proud owner of the newly formed Ray White Shore Group on the Gold Coast, with offices in Sovereign Island, Paradise Point, Runaway Bay and Pacific Pines.
“I am thrilled to lead Ray White Shore Group, the opportunity to lead such a dynamic business is incredibly exciting. I’ve spent years advising and guiding high-performing offices across real estate networks, and now I’m eager to apply those learning to build something special for my family,” Mr McCulloch said.
In Victoria, the market-leading team behind East Melbourne’s top independent agency joined the group to open Ray White CRE. Directors Jacob Caine and Toby Campbell have established a loyal community of clients in East Melbourne, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Richmond and Carlton (pictured below).
“For our team, tapping into and leveraging the technology, marketing, training, and recruitment opportunities that Ray White offers is a critical competitive advantage,” Mr Caine said.
In Western Australia, one of the state’s most successful real estate agencies joined forces with Ray White in the heart of Fremantle to create Ray White Dethridge Groves. Under the exceptional leadership of Hayden Groves, the agency has established a stellar reputation as a trusted real estate leader.
"We have built a strong foundation and have great potential for growth," Mr Groves said.
"However, I recognised the need for additional support and resources to fully realise that potential. Partnering with Ray White provides us with the partnership support and backing to keep thriving in this competitive market well into the future."
In Ray White Rural, two of the network’s most successful business leaders, James and Sally Croft, opened their third office of Ray White Rural Dalby, joining their existing businesses in Warwick and Pittsworth (pictured below).
“Choosing Ray White was a pivotal decision for us, with support systems, cutting-edge technology, and a network of like-minded rural leaders,” Ms Croft said.
“It wasn’t until we opened our office that we realised just how strong the network of support is. The marketing resources are truly incredible and have helped us win many major campaigns.”
In New Zealand, renowned owner of Ray White Remuera, Megan Jaffe and her business partner Thomas Farmer took the next step of their journey and opened Ray White Ponsonby. With a foundation sales team of five experienced salespeople, Ms Jaffe said recruiting the right people was a focus for the new office.
“We want to be known in Ponsonby for exactly what we’re known for at Ray White Remuera; good people, and supporting, contributing and doing what is right for our local community.”
In the RWC network, well-known Adelaide commercial property agents Oliver Totani, Jack Dyson and Harry Einarson teamed up to open RWC Adelaide. Their immediate focus has been on maintaining their significant market share in the middle market space, sales of those assets in the $5 million to $50 million range.
Mr Totani said joining RWC made sense for them as Ray White’s values aligned with theirs.
“The White family's reputation speaks for itself, our partnership team aligned immediately with their family first ethos,” Mr Totani said.
“The national brand and network gives us the opportunity to scale up quickly, while providing our clients with a best in class property tech platform, and investor and client interface".
