Over 455 individuals from more than 70 Ray White offices laced up their shoes to raise $14,430 for Cerebral Palsy Alliance, demonstrating that our spirit as 'Competition Creators TM' extends well beyond the real estate arena. Leading the fundraising charge was our Group CFO Andrew Jamson who raised an outstanding $1,009.78 for the cause, taking home the top spot for a third year running. Ray White Double Bay CFO Mark Murphy was hot on his heels with a total of $427.04 towards the cause.

As September unfolded, our teams collectively logged an astounding 82,736,444 steps - which is the equivalent of two laps around the globe. Brigitta Pal, valuer from RWC Valuations emerged as our stepping champion, clocking an incredible 780,921 steps. Her achievement was amplified as part of 'Pete's Angels' from RWC Valuations - a powerhouse team that included Peter Wiltshire, Pamela Lois, and Nikoletta Pal. Together, they strode their way to victory with a combined 2,358,564 steps.

Not to be outdone, the teams at Ray White Officer and Ray White Pakenham turned their office into a veritable stepping station, contributing nearly 10 per cent of our Group's total with an overall step count of 6,412,529.

The month-long journey culminated at the STEPtember after party, held against the backdrop of spectacular views from the 52nd floor of the Salesforce Tower in Sydney. There, Cerebral Palsy Alliance CEO Rob White shared a powerful reminder of why we step. Thanks to the STEPtember initiative and the work of CPA, Australia has seen a 40 per cent decrease in the incidence of cerebral palsy over the past two decades.

As top performers celebrated their achievements with prizes including Theragun massage guns, wellness subscriptions, and Fitbit watches, the real victory was clear - every step taken and dollar raised contributed to this remarkable statement of progress for cerebral palsy awareness and research.

The 2024 STEPtember challenge not only showcased Ray White's competitive spirit but also reinforced our commitment to creating meaningful change in our communities.

Now to rest and get ready for next year; the challenge will be back before we know it.
